“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” -CS Lewis
George Billingsley is the head of industrial development for his family’s business, Billingsley Company. This wasn’t always the case though. Starting out being a self proclaimed ineffectual child, he was introduced to a tutor freshman year of high school which set him on the studious path. After a semester at Cornell it didn’t feel like a good fit for George so he came a little closer to home and transferred to UT Austin. He very much so enjoyed the social aspect of life in college and found his faith in Christianity through some close friends. To follow his faith George then moved his studies to Dallas Baptist Church, majoring in Christian Studies and finishing his business schooling at Southern Methodist University.
George has been involved in his family’s real estate business, The Billingsley Company, since he could be. His first real foray into it was in the Multifamily division, but didn’t feel at home there. He then fell in love with the culture and people involved in the industrial real estate development sector, where he is now the head of Billingsley’s department as mentioned above.
Grandfather was Trammel Crow, renowned real estate developer from Dallas as well as another esteemed alumni of Woodrow Wilson High. George’s parents were also both involved in real estate before the formation of Billingsley Company so George comes from great real estate stock.
